Founded in 1999 as Singapore's first Turkish restaurant, Sofra Turkish Cafe & Restaurant has proudly served as a culinary bridge between Turkey and Singapore for over 27 years.
Our journey began with a simple mission: to introduce authentic, uncompromising Turkish flavors to a global audience. Over the decades, we have grown not just as a restaurant, but as a destination for those who appreciate true culinary craftsmanship.

The name
In the Turkish world, a yer sofrası (sofra) is traditionally a low table or tray used as a dining table. In modern Turkish language sofra means a table prepared or Turkish handmade cloth or lining set for eating a meal.
Inspired by the Turkish culture where families and friends gather around the sofra for delectable meals, we have named our restaurant 'Sofra' – we are serving you plate of authentic Turkish food on the turquoise background called Sofra, and the timeless warmth of Turkish hospitality.
